ADJOA SKINNER BIO:

Touring Performance Artist & Singer-Songwriter Adjoa Skinner was born and raised outside of Buffalo, NY but has called Los Angeles home now for 9 years.

After spending two years right out of high school working in Africa she decided to pursue her career as a singer-songwriter in Los Angeles where she spent 7 years performing the club circuit. Discovered by a local booker in Los Angeles, Adjoa held two weekly residencies sponsored by Warner Music & ASCAP until she caught the ear of Grammy Award Winning Producer Charlie Peacock.

Classically & Jazz trained with 25 years of professional experience in music, makes Skinner a sought after performer, teacher, session vocalist and multi-instrumentalist.

She has opened for Grammy Award Winners The Civil Wars, Charlie Peacock, Amy Grant, Beth Hart, Reeve Carney (Spiderman The Musical), John Mayer Guitarist - Zane Carney, Daniel Bedingfield, Jason Joseph, The Voice’s Tony Lucca, American Idol’s Jackie Tohn, Shel and more. Adjoa has performed in North America, Asia, Africa & Europe.

Her new Pop/EDM Project with Producer Dan Molitor "Stereo Cinematic" was just launched in February 2015. You can purchase the new single "Love Then Lose" on iTunes. Her previous EP releases “The Sun" and “Unfinished” were released in 2013 and her full length CD "Songs For Tall Women And The Short Men Who Love Them" was released in 2012, featuring the comedic hit "God Made Me Tall". 

In 2013 Adjoa was featured as one of Music Connection Magazine's Top 100 Live Unsigned Acts. She was a finalist in the Grammy Museum’s Be Heard Showcase, a finalist in the International Songwriting Competition and featured in American Songwriter Magazine for her song "The Sun" with Grammy Award Winning Composer Mateo Messina.

Adjoa is a sought after Songwriter and lyricist and was chosen by Norwegian Tenor Torstein Sodal to write the lyrics to the famous Edvard Grieg song “Morning Mood”.  

All in all, Adjoa is the total package and is moving not only herself but everyone she is connected with towards their destiny.
